Gertie Belle Rogers

Gertie Belle Rogers dedicated 35 years of her professional life to the elementary students of Mitchell. She was a teacher, principal, grade supervisor and director of elementary education. As grade supervisor she saw four elementary schools constructed. This building, joining the attendance area of Litchfield and a portion of Whittier and Longfellow schools, was named to recognize her years of dedication and commitment to elementary education.
