Eric Bortnem
Hello, my name is Eric Bortnem and this is my website. I am currently a Junior at Mitchell High School taking Computer Applications II. My family consists of four members, two parents and one brother. My father's name is Blair and he works at Mitchell Technical Institute. He has been working there for about three years now I think. My mother's name is Michelle and she works at Mitchell Telecom. She has been working there since it opened (not sure about the exact year). My brother's name is Sean. He is nineteen and currently attending Mitchell Technican Institute and is in the second year of his Rad Tech major. Lastly there is me. I am seventeen years old and I like to party. Other than partying, which is basically a 24/7 thing, I enjoy hanging out with my friends and I somewhat enjoy playing sports. The sports I play are football and baseball (spring and summer). As for hanging out with friends we pretty much just rage all the time.
As you explore this website you will find a collaboration of different Mac applications that I have learned to use while enroled in Computers Applications II. I would say that Flash and iMovie definitely make up the majority of this website. Flash animations can be found in the top right-hand corner of each page, including the front page, which is a larger animation that I created. This website also features a fairly large assorment of iMovie projects. Some of these projects include a Spongebob trailor, a Mac commercial that Jason Greenway and I remade, and a Head and Shoulders commercial that Jason and I once again remade. As you will probably notice the acting skills of Jason and I are far superior to any of the original actors. Flash was an interesting program to say the least. When first experimenting with Flash it seemed very difficult and I found myself wanting to give up. However, I perservered and learned the art of it. iMovie on the other hand, I felt, was very simple and easy. If you have used MovieMaker you know how much of a pain that is. However, iMovie was very user friendly which was really nice. This just kind of showed Mac's superiority to PC.
The final projects we worked with delt with music and digital. For music, we were to choose three different albums (from preferrably three different bands) and make pages for each album. These pages included a picture of the album and a list of the songs on the album. Then we were required to find at least one song from each album to put on the page. As you will probably tell I have superb taste in music and I think you will find it quite difficult not to like it. There weren't really any special programs used in the creation of these music pages except using the QuickTime Player to put the actual song on there. The final page that was made was called digital. On this page there are a total of four videos. The videos are of the same thing, but each one has either different frames per second and/or resolution. Underneith each video I have described the difference between them.
