Student Council Fundraiser
The student council will be selling foil wrapped chocolate roses for $3.00 a piece in preparation for Valentine’s Day. You can choose from 1 of 3 notes to go with your rose: I’m Grateful for You!, I Appreciate You!, or You’re the Best! Student council members will be taking orders starting Monday February 6. They will be on the stage each morning that week before school until they run out of roses. They will then deliver your rose and note to the person you designate on the card on Valentine’s Day. It must be a student or staff member at GBR for them to deliver to.

Traci teaches third grade at Gertie Belle Rogers and Randi heads up our food service team at GBR! We are so grateful for their presence each day at Gertie Belle Rogers. They help make our school a great place to be!
Check out the boys and girls 5th and 6th grade GBR Golden Arrows Kernel Klub basketball team! The boys team is made up of all GBR boys, while the girls team is combined between GBR and Longfellow.

Flat Gabriel has made it to the beach in Puerto Morales, Mexico. Our Flat friends have had wonderful adventures.
Fridays are for building block code, homemade video games. This student built a game from scratch! We have learners doing some pretty amazing things! #GBR🏹
Tomorrow is HAT DAY at GBR!
Student Council is having a Hat Day fundraiser, tomorrow, Friday January 27th. Students can pay one dollar per hat they would like to wear. #GBR🏹

Attention GBR Families: PTA Meeting at GBR on Monday, January 23rd
We will be planning the "Let's Glow" Celebration which will take place on 2/24. If you are interested in attending, the meeting is at 6 PM in the GBR Commons. Daycare will be provided free of charge.

2B Haddie’s flat Stanley made it to Maui! Enjoying golf, pool, ocean & gorgeous ocean views!!! He enjoyed watching the kayaking and snorkeling by where they were staying. We get to add another state to our map!!! Thanks for the check in!!

Flat Gordon has been super busy!!! He has been to several states so far. Flat Gordon has been in Germantown, Tennessee and Olive Branch, Mississippi
Flat Gordon has been petting the nose of Sarge in Olive Branch, Mississippi. He lives with about 25 other horses. He loves to go on trail rides.
Connor's Flat Stanley just finished trimming the Christmas Tree!

Flat Gordon helping serve a Christmas lunch to the teachers at Granby Elem in Norfolk VA where my church holds Good News Club weekly.
Here's Flat Gordon on my t-shirts worn while we both worked with Operation Blessing in VaBeach VA packing 528 boxes of food - meals for families affected by disasters in our country such as hurricanes, floods, tornados. My husband and I returned from southwest FL doing hurricane cleanup for 2 weeks, only to then find Flat Gordon had arrived. So he helped with another of their projects.
