KGL had so much fun in math today! Students worked on daily math problems and then engaged in a fun measuring activity. They traced their foot on a piece of paper and measured it using various items, from pencil erasers to paper clips and more! What a fun way to learn about measurement!
This morning, GBR started their day with an assembly where we discussed this month's Energy Bus theme, 'Drive with Purpose.' To drive with purpose, you have to remember your positive vision. It's important to stay on target with positivity and be aware of Energy Vampires. Keep driving your bus with purpose, GBR!

Start your day with the amazing little learners in Mrs. Dodd's Begindergarten class! Today, these BK students delved into what March has in store: friends' birthdays, the arrival of spring, St. Patrick's Day, Spring Break, and Daylight Saving Time. But their exploration didn't stop there! They also pondered whether the calendar's days revealed a pattern involving Hats and Eggs. Using their observation skills, they determined that they hadn't filled out enough days to identify a pattern just yet. However, they recognized the pattern on their school day number line, and today's day (128) called for Blue! Thanks, BK, for giving us a glimpse into your morning routine!
5th Grade Show Choir Concert on March 21st!
Miss Puetz's 5th Grade Class just wrapped up their Civil War unit in the most engaging way! Today, they had a special guest, Principal Mr. Gubbrud, diving deep into the complexities of this pivotal period in history. From probing questions about strategies to discussions on the socio-political landscape, these young historians explored it all! And guess what? They even got to hear Mr. Gubbrud's insights on some of the fascinating topics they covered during their Civil War journey. It's incredible to witness such curiosity and eagerness to learn! Hats off to Miss Puetz and her amazing students for their dedication to understanding our past. Let's keep the spirit of inquiry alive!
Mrs. Duffy's fifth-grade crew is diving deep into the world of zoos! They're on a mission to craft opinion pieces about whether zoos are heroes or villains for our furry and feathery friends. Before they embarked on their writing adventure, they brainstormed the perks of zoos - like lending a helping paw to injured animals. But hey, they're also not turning a blind eye to the downsides: cramped quarters and the wild ride of animals ending up in circuses. Get ready to be blown away by the roaring opinions and wild perspectives these fifth-graders bring to the table!

PLC had a fun and exciting afternoon! Some students went to Art with Mrs. Geist, where they worked on making books, drawing birds, creating an alien party scene, and crafting marker robots. We cannot wait to see all the beautiful creations that come out of class today!
The other group of PLC students tackled some fun science that also linked to their math and ELA! These scientists discussed myths, hypotheses, and tested theories. Students will begin researching a myth of their choice and using their scientific knowledge to prove or disprove it. We can't wait to see what the PLC Myth Busters come up with!
Hooray for Mrs. Jerke's first-grade superstars! Today, our small group of brilliant first graders dove deep into the world of sentences. We explored the essential parts needed for a sentence, such as capital letters, punctuation, and spaces. But that's not all! We took it a step further by applying our newfound skills to words with the magical endings -all, -ull, and -oll. We had a ball with Mrs. Jerke; there was no lull. And now, we can't wait to build more sentences; we are on a roll!
Exciting moments in speech with Mrs. Smith! Today, we're diving into personalized learning with one of our amazing students. Working one-on-one, we're using their AAC communication device to tackle an activity sheet. Every step forward is a victory, and we're celebrating every milestone together!
