To be chosen as prefect of the week I must see a student going above and beyond, showing kindness to someone, showing responsibility, or simply being a consistently good student for read aloud. I witnessed all of that in these students. They have each earned 3 points for their class/house.
Congratulations to the students in Mrs. Leightons Ravenclaw class. You have earned 3 points for your class/house.
the first 3 Golden Snitches have been found in the library.

Thank you Shaun Webb Ashley Schaller Webb and boys for taking Flat Gabby on your adventures!
Flat Gabby is living the life at Lake Livingston in Livingston, Texas. Hey Gabby Don't Get TOO Close to the Water!! Thank You Shaun Webb and Ashley Schaller Webb for hosting our flat friend.
Flat CeCe has been busy with her aunt and cousins in Hartford, SD. First stop is to get some gas. Hopefully CeCe didn't have to chip in to pay for the ride to the Warwick basketball practice in Sioux Falls that she went to with her cousins.

Flat Peter's cousin Abby is helping to tour Peter around down by the Mississippi river. In one of the pictures you can see them standing on the bank. In the distance you see a big bridge which when you cross, puts you in Illinois. Flat Peter and Abby are also standing next to a flood wall that is closed when the river rises. As you see the markings on the gate show how high the water got and in what year. Very cool!!! Further down the flood wall you will see the Wall of Fame. It depicts famous people from Missouri. The wonderful thing about this project is the student's will be able to see things through pictures they might never have been able to before. Thank you so much Aunt Melody for taking us along on this journey. From what I hear he will be going back in the mail and heading on to Portland Oregon!!!! Safe travels Peter
Apparently Flat Peter is on the move. He must get bored staying in one spot so he is having his host family take him all over the place!!!Lucky for us we get to come along and see the sights he is seeing.
If you look closely you will see Flat Stanley standing along a large mural. This is a flood wall facing the river so the boats and barges can see the name of the town. In one of the pictures you can also see the back of the mural which shows the history of Cape Giradeau. In the background of one of the pictures you will see the furniture store owned by Peter's host family.
Flat Connor has fun in South Dakota!!! Flat Connor traveled north to Woonsocket to take in the 4th of July parade. He is having a fun time with his grandparents Vicki and Rich Linke. He also took in some bingo at the Woonsocket Community Center. No word on if he won or not.
Flat Peter has arrived in Cape Girardeau, MO. He was visiting his Aunt Melody who is the former Mrs. Missouri 1991!! First stop was at the mall to see cousin Natalie at JCPenny's. He was trying on clothes getting ready for a St. Louis Cardinal game. He looks smashing. Lee also helped him find some cool cowboy boots. YEEHAW.
On July 4th we visited an assisted living home and a former school teacher. She helped Flat Peter with his Math. Her name is Mrs. Hammond, she is 89 years old and sharp as a tack!! Flat Peter also met a remarkable young man named Jordan and they quickly became friends.
