**6th Grade and GBR players will be bussed to either LBW or Longfellow. This will be determined after registration and number of players.

Our Red Ribbon Week dress-up days and awareness continue today with Hawaiian Day - remember to "lei" off of drugs. Always live drug free!

Over the past week, GBR teachers and learners have been creating the perfect door to fit our homecoming theme: Go for the Gold!
Today, GBR Alumni & MHS Football Players Chance, Kaden, and Jaxson visited us to judge the doors and present prizes to the winning classes. Congratulations to 2N, 2KB, and 2AB!
GBR picture re-take day will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024. If your child needs to have re-takes completed, please send his or her school pictures along with $8.00 cash, with him or her on October 11!
The GBR Student Council has set the homecoming dress-up days for next week - We can't wait to see our Golden Arrows all dressed up!
Did you know if your child misses only 2 days per month, they miss around 10% of the school year? That's a lot of learning!

Saturday, September 14, 2024 is the Kernel Bowl. If you have a child in the 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade, he or she is invited to sing the National Anthem with the MHS choir!
5D is working on map skills! Some students are completing a Linktivity (interactive online activity) while others are applying the skills they learned from the Linktivity on real-world maps. Way to go, 5D!
If you have a 5th grade child who is interested in joining band, don't forget to attend the 5th Grade Band Sign Up Night - TONIGHT! This will be held at the Mitchell PAC. The meeting will begin at 6:00pm, with music store representatives available from 5:45pm to 7:00pm. Hope to see you there!

Sharon Broghammer, on behalf of the American Legion Auxiliary, presented a check to help cover the cost of recorders for third-grade students. Thank you, American Legion Auxiliary!
