Sports hold a significant meaning for young student-athletes, as they provide a sense of camaraderie and purpose. For many, sports are a way to build relationships and friendships that last beyond their high school years. Additionally, sports teach valuable life skills such as teamwork, discipline, perseverance, and time management.

The bond will allow the Mitchell School District to improve and expand athletic facilities to accommodate all the sports offerings in our school district. The project will include the gymnasiums, wrestling room, gymnastic room, as well as locker rooms, a weight room, and a multipurpose gym. Furthermore, this bond will include the outdoor athletic facilities by adding necessary practice and competition fields for soccer, football, marching band, and track and field. These additions will provide a safe and inclusive environment for students to practice, compete, and develop their skills.
