While mornings are dedicated to strengthening reading and math skills in small groups, afternoons bring learning to life through exciting enrichment opportunities. Whether students are meeting animals, exploring future careers, conducting experiments, or creating something new, every experience helps build curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning.
What a week of adventure and discovery! Our Summer Scholars students have been busy making cotton candy, exploring wildlife up close, learning about careers at Mitchell Tech, creating art, building friendships, and engaging in hands-on experiences throughout our community. This week, Summer Scholars will explore science through hands-on experiments and a visit to the planetarium with the DWU Science Department. They will learn about animal habitats and adaptations through the Great Plains Zoo Zoomobile and enjoy outdoor adventures at Camp Arroya. Students will also have the opportunity to learn and participate in a variety of Kernel Athletics alongside Mitchell High School teams and coaches!
