GBR Grandparents Shopping Day at the Book Fair! Attention Gertie Belle Grandparents: Tomorrow, September 20th from 7:30-8:30 AM is your special day to shop with your grandkids at the Book Fair. Stop by for a donut, and spend some time with your grand-learners, all in the fun-filled GBR Elementary library! All sales from the Book Fair benefit the Gertie Belle Rogers library.

LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS!!! If you would like to help Mrs. Gerlach in the Library with the book fair please email her and let her know. The times will be 7:30-8:30 and/or 3:00-4:00 Monday thru Friday. Book fair will run from September 19-23. For every shift you help me with you can earn $5.00 to spend at the book fair as a thank you. Please email or text me with your available times/days. First come first serve basis.

Book fair is right around the corner. September 19-23. Here is the link for you to check out the flyer that will be coming home next week. You can also easily set up an e wallet online to make shopping for your learners safe and easy. Think of it like a credit card with a limit that you set. No cash for them to carry.

GBR Zesto Night!
Friday, September 16th is GBR Zesto Night from 4-9PM with a percentage of sales going to Gertie Belle Rogers PTA. Enjoy a family night out at Zesto before they close for the season!

To be chosen as prefect of the week I must see a student going above and beyond, showing kindness to someone, showing responsibility, or simply being a consistently good student for read aloud. I witnessed all of that in these students. They have each earned 3 points for their class/house.

GBR 5th Grade Families,
This year, your 5th grader will have an opportunity to participate in band. There is an informational and sign-up meeting for 5th grade band at the Performing Arts Center at 6 PM on September 6th. Please plan to attend if you are interested in your learner participating in band!
Congratulations the Library "Prefects" (students) of the week. Elsa from 5M, Easton from 3W, Dreesen from 3BT and Jaslynn from 2C. They each earned 3 points for their "houses" for the race for the house cup. Also congratulations to 4B for being chosen as the Class/House of the week. They also earned 3 points for their house.

When using the "Drop Off Only" zone in front of GBR please remain in your vehicle. You are welcome to walk your learner to the door if you park your vehicle outside of this zone.

Only 26 days left until our Scholastic Book Fair!!!! You can follow the link before for information and to easily set up an "e wallet" for your learner to be able to shop the fair on their own.
