Congratulations to our September attendance award winner: Mrs. Fossum’s class. They were “On Time ⏰, On Target 🎯” all month long! They got to spin the wheel and spun a picnic lunch 🧺. Also, congratulations to Mrs. Zirpel’s room for winning the August award! #GBR🏹

Huge thank you to the Mitchell Fire Department for their fire safety presentation this morning! Our BK and Kindergarten learners even got a truck tour! #GBR🏹

Our food service team is always rocking it! Our students and staff appreciate their dedication and hard work. They are on the go, non stop, making sure we’re fueled up! #GBR🏹

King of the Court in PE today! Mr. Borgan always has our learners playing hard, and being great teammates. His enthusiasm is contagious! #GBR🏹

Help us share the warmth! Please drop off your clean and gently used coats at GBR. There is a bin placed just inside the front door and coats can be dropped off any time. This project benefits Caring Closet and is sponsored by Nedved Media.

Check out the new addition to the GBR Library! It’s a book vending machine that runs on special tokens! Through this machine we will be able to put books in the hands and homes of learners to keep forever. Books will be given or earned, and learners will get to choose which book they would like. What a fun addition!

Don't forget! GBR Bingo Night is tonight from 6 to 7:30 PM at Gertie Belle Rogers Elementary!

First grade read "Real Cowboys" this week during our literacy block. They were focusing on the comprehension skill of asking questions during, before, and after reading. Thanks to Dustin Schroth for teaching our class about cowboy life on a ranch and rodeo. Thanks to Dr. Michael Patrick for teaching us about nutrition and plants around our community for farm animals. Thank you for taking the time to teach and answer our questions.

Great time this morning with our LEGO Spike Essential Kits. Thanks KIDS Grant Program. Our learners are loving these intense STEM Challenges! The kits include LEGOs, a Bluetooth hub, motors, lights, literally all the bells and whistles!

GBR Grandparents Shopping Day at the Book Fair! Attention Gertie Belle Grandparents: Tomorrow, September 20th from 7:30-8:30 AM is your special day to shop with your grandkids at the Book Fair. Stop by for a donut, and spend some time with your grand-learners, all in the fun-filled GBR Elementary library! All sales from the Book Fair benefit the Gertie Belle Rogers library.
