Mrs. Grabenstein and Mrs. Leighton will be teaching a play-based kindergarten classroom and will be co-teaching for the 2023-2024 school year. They are both very excited and wanted to share some information about what their vision is for their classroom and students. Play-based learning helps with children's development of social and emotional skills. As children play together, they learn to get along with one another, cooperate, communicate effectively, problem-solve, and resolve conflicts. This kindergarten option will have the same academic rigor and high behavioral expectations as the other kindergarten classrooms. Attached is some information to learn more about what Mrs. G and Mrs. Leighton have planned. Please let them know if you have any questions.
