What a fun, "bite sized" event at our Reader's Cafe today! Students were able to share stories with adults, and everyone got to eat treats and have a hot chocolate or coffee. What a great turn out! #GBR🏹
A PLC student shared some of his animals today with a few different classes. It's great when students share their interests with us at school! 🐍 🐔 He even helped construct a new foot for his feathered friend!

Tomorrow is Goodies for Grandparent's Day followed by Donuts for Dads on Wednesday.

Only 3 days until the Luau in the Library!!!! This is a fantastic way for our library to earn money towards supplying our library, our vending machine, and our teachers with money for books. We were also able to share with our Makerspace area last Fall and purchase some awesome items for our learners to use. The April PTA meeting is scheduled for this Monday, April 24th at 6:00 pm in the GBR Commons. Free daycare and snacks will be provided. We need to nominate 1 person to run the PTA Board next year as President, as Amanda Nava will be stepping down. We have only had 1 person mention that they would help co-chair with another adult. If we have no volunteers on Monday, we will need to vote to dissolve the PTA. This would be an unfortunate loss of support to our teachers and school community. In a typical year, we raise over $10, 000 for projects, supplies for classrooms, playground equipment, field trips, etc. Please step up to help us save our PTA or help find a responsible & motivated person to be the President of this organization.
Below, you will find the responsibilities of the PTA President. If you have any questions, concerns or comments please feel free to ask one of the current PTA members or contact Mr. Gubbrud in the GBR office at 995-3091.
Section 1. The president shall
A. Preside at all meetings of this local PTA;
B. Serve as an ex officio member of all committees except the nominating committee;
C. Coordinate the work of the officers and committees of this local PTA to promote the
purposes;
D. Perform such other duties as may be provided for by these bylaws, prescribed by the
parliamentary authority, or directed by the board of directors or executive committee

What a fun last hour of the day today! Students shared their Student Interest writing and projects with students, staff, and families in a gallery walk. We had everything from spiders, Justin Jefferson, automated Minecraft farms, and everything in between! Thanks to our families for visiting today and to the students and staff for all their hard work during Student Interest time. #GBR🏹
