GBR Grandparents Shopping Day at the Book Fair! Attention Gertie Belle Grandparents: Tomorrow, September 20th from 7:30-8:30 AM is your special day to shop with your grandkids at the Book Fair. Stop by for a donut, and spend some time with your grand-learners, all in the fun-filled GBR Elementary library! All sales from the Book Fair benefit the Gertie Belle Rogers library.

Book fair will run from September 19-23. For every shift you help me with you can earn $5.00 to spend at the book fair as a thank you. Please email or text me with your available times/days. You can also easily set up an e wallet online to make shopping for your learners safe and easy. Think of it like a credit card with a limit that you set. No cash for them to carry.

To be chosen as prefect of the week I must see a student going above and beyond, showing kindness to someone, showing responsibility, or simply being a consistently good student for read aloud. I witnessed all of that in these students. They have each earned 3 points for their class/house.

This year, your 5th grader will have an opportunity to participate in band. There is an informational and sign-up meeting for 5th grade band at the Performing Arts Center at 6 PM on September 6th. Please plan to attend if you are interested in your learner participating in band!
