Congratulation to the Mitchell High School Gymnastics team for winning the SDHSAA Class AA State Championship this weekend with a School Record 151.444 overall score! They have now won Back-to-Back State Titles, 3 out of the last 4, and an astonishing 7 out of the past 11 state championships. 2024 marks the 9th overall title for Mitchell Gymnastics.

On day 2 of the State Championships, Kernel gymnasts showed out again, with Bentley Bates claiming 2 individual State Championships on the Bars and the Beam, Olivia Prunty claiming the individual State Championship on the Vault, and a host of Kernels claiming top-15 finishes in the various events. Bates and Prunty were joined by Keyana Kelley as All-Tournament Finishers.
