Mitchell High School

The state ProStart competition was held in Pierre on March 9 and 10, 2026 with 10 schools attending. Teams could compete on the Culinary Team, Restaurant Management Team, and/or cake decorating team.  Dailyn Kiner competed in the cake decorating  and received 1^st place. The state theme for cake decorating was Under the Sea, seven schools competed in cake decorating.
