Congratulations to our hard-working Lions! We are so proud of you!

Our Den B Lions (McPeek, McCarty, Kramer, and Abts ) enjoyed an exciting field trip to the Outdoor Campus and Reptile Adventure Zoo! Even though the weather was a little cold and dreary, our Lions still had a fantastic time exploring and learning together.

The Den A Lions (Schoenfelder, Gunnare, Osthus, and Coats) had an unforgettable day at the Butterfly House and Aerial Arts! They even got the chance to swing on aerial silks and show off their adventurous side!

REMEMBER: The KERNEL after-school care program is finished for the school year at Longfellow. Please make other arrangements to pick up your children by 3:45 pm.

Library books that are still out need to be returned ASAP please. If you cannot find the book or it has been ruined, please contact Mrs. Brink. Thank you - lydia.brink@k12.sd.us

Den C Lions (Borgan, Kristensen, Kristensen, and Mertens) had a ROAR-some day on their field trip to the Butterfly House and KELO studio! The beautiful weather made the day even better, the butterflies seemed to love our sweet Lions, and the bus ride home left everyone happily tuckered out. What a fun adventure!

FIELD TRIP REMINDER: Kindergarten and begindergarten, please wear good walking shoes AND bring socks tomorrow. Lions in 2S, 3G, 4O, and 5C should wear appropriate shoes and clothes for Den A's field trip. Have fun and represent Longfellow well!

A paint can spilled right in front of the school. Talk about a colorful situation.

Thankfully, Mr. Shawn stepped in like a true hero and got it cleaned up in no time. Crisis averted and the street is safe again! Then we had a broken tree branch precariously stuck in the tree, tempting our young Lions to jump up and dislodge it. Mr. Shawn and Miss Brittany, again, saved the day.

What a fun day. However, I think they might need more supervision in there. I could set up a tent to read in too.

It was an extra special show-and-tell in 3K. Mrs. Kristensen met her new best friend!

Recently, we were able to honor our school nurse, our lunchroom crew, and our principal, Mrs. H. A school is a village and we need everyone to help us learn and grow. Thank you for all you do!

The staff will be celebrating co-worker's retirement and years of service at a district event. We appreciate you making sure you get your children picked up in time so we can all attend. Thank you!

Huge thank you to our incredible DWU helpers who volunteered their time for #DWUCares! Our playground got a fresh upgrade with newly painted lines and even a brand-new 4-square court. We appreciate your hard work and community spirit!
