We appreciate our bus driver, Ms. Joyce, so very much! She gets our Lions to-and-from school safely each day. We don't know how much time you've spent on a bus with elementary school children after 3:30pm but, trust us, it takes a special person!! Thank you to all the wonderful bus drivers out there!!!!
Reminder that we have no school on Monday due to a teacher development day. Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the beautiful weather! We look forward to seeing our lions on Tuesday the 16th!

Yearbook Order Forms Are Due Tomorrow, April 12th. The cost is only $12. Order forms were sent home with students but extra can be found in the office. Get yours now!
Now, more than ever, we MUST have students here on time every morning. Our 3rd-5th graders begin their statewide testing first thing in the morning. If they are not here when the class begins, they cannot enter the room until that testing period is complete and will have to make-up that test at a later time. That may not be difficult to schedule once but if this is happening every morning, it will have a major impact on your child. Please do not add that stress to their already challenging day. Set those alarms please and get them here on time.

Student Council t-shirt order forms are due THIS FRIDAY. Please turn in the form, along with payment, to the office or to Miss Mertens by Friday. These are great shirts to wear anytime we have dress up days such as jersey day or black/gold day. Students can stop at the office or Miss Mertens's classroom to pick up another order form if needed.

Wednesday was National Scribble Day! Mrs. Brink, in the library, had a lot of fun celebrating with the students.
Due to the travel required for out of town bands, the Young Festival Band Concert scheduled for March 25th will now be held Tuesday, April 2nd at 4:00pm at the Performing Arts Center. If your 5th grade band student was set to perform in Festival Band, please bring them to Longfellow tomorrow as they will attend a typical school day. On April 2nd, they will report to the PAC for a fun day of music!

Next week bk-2nd grades will listen to two of Diane Alber's books and review kindness and inclusion. Then they will get to create their very own Scribble!
Report cards will go home with learners today. Please check backpacks for those. Good grades deserve ice cream, right?

Please have your children wear winter coats again as they will go outside each day, as long as the wind chill is above 0. Thank you!
Under Construction! You will notice some work happening to the landscaping in front of Longfellow. Thank you to the MSD maintenance staff for their work. We can't wait to see the changes! We are asking your children to stay on the sidewalk and not walk through the dirt. Please help remind them of that during arrival and dismissal. Thank you!
