Miss Merten's 5th graders presented their wax museum last week. The students had to research their president, dress up, and share their facts with visitor to the museum. The students really threw themselves into it and had fun!
Let the games begin!!! Today was the culmination of our month long Reading Madness challenge. Our lions read books, lots of books. When they got 80% or above on the AR test they added a basketball to our Reading Madness wall. The names of the top 10 points earners were put into a drawing to be on the Lions basketball team. Students vs teachers! We had a few guest players join the teams as well as our MHS players reffing the game.

The spring weather has once again decided it would like to intrude on yet another school sponsored event. Unfortunately, with the inclement weather and winter storm warning identified for our area on Friday, BINGO 2023 is cancelled. We expect to have school Friday morning but things look dicey by the afternoon and evening. Hopefully our 2024 season will be much nicer to us.

The kites might look a little out of place now but it won't be too long and we'll be thinking Spring!!
PLEASE NOTE: The Longfellow Family BINGO night is postponed until March 31, from 5:30-7:00 pm. This event is free to our families. Pizza and pop will be available for purchase, along with candy sales from the LO Student Council. Popcorn will be available as well. We hope to see you there and hope that weather won't be a factor!!
