If YOU wish to send an "anonymous" candy gram to your child for Valentine's Day, please fill out one of the candy gram slips that comes home with your student. If you wish to send your child a candy gram, you can send the slip back to school in an envelope with $2. Candy grams WILL NOT be accepted after February 5th due to ordering purposes. Thanks for supporting the Longfellow Student Council! Candygrams will be available for purchase at Conferences on Februrary 1st. If you need a candygram order form, please contact your child's teacher.
It's here! It's here! The Book Fair is here!!! Mrs. Brink will be working hard over the next few days to get all set up. Watch our website and social media pages for more information!
We made it! 100 days of learning! 100 days of fun! 100 days of memories made!!!
You're never too old to learn! To help celebrate 100 DAYS of school, students dressed up as 100 year olds. Our February newsletter will have more photos so be sure to watch for that at the end of the month.
100 Days Smarter!!!
Our Student Council presented us with a fun dress up day tomorrow. Remember, no props. We still have a day of learning so keep that in mind when planning for dress-up days. We will still go outside, have gym, etc. Thank you!
Guess What? Our school is going to have the coolest dress-up day ever for the 100th day of school! Are you ready? We're going to dress up as 100-year-olds! Yup, you heard it right - a whole century old! So, get your wrinkly clothes and those big, round glasses ready to go! It's going to be hilarious seeing all of us looking super old, but like, in a fun way! And guess what else? We've been learning new things for a whole 100 days! Can you believe it?
We can already imagine our school turning into a time machine, with everyone walking around like they've seen a whole century go by. It's going to be so much fun, and we can't wait to see all of the create outfits. So, start planning your super-duper old-person look, and let's make this 100th day of school total unforgettable! Yay for being a hundrd for a day and yay for all the awesome stuff we've learned in these 100 days!!
We are ready to meet next year's kindergarteners and begindergarteners. Please make sure your child's name is added to our mailing list today! If you know of someone who will have a student entering the district, please have them fill out the form and we will make sure the correct school receives their information. We are so excited to meet our newest learners!
Who doesn't love popcorn? YUM!
Who's ready for some football fun? Mrs. H and Mrs. Kristensen are ready for the Packers/49er's game. They have agreed that the 'loser' has to wear the other's jersey on Monday! So, let's make sure the halls are awash of red OR green. Make sure your kids ask you what the outcome of the game is.
Let's thank our teachers at conferences! Please sign up for food/drink donations to say thank you to our amazing staff at Longfellow! We will be providing Arby's sandwiches the staff on Thursday, February 1st during conferences, but will need a few other items. Please have all donations to the school no later than 4:00 pm on Thursday, February 1st. Thank you for your help and support!
Enjoy your Monday off from school and we will see you again on Tuesday!
We are ready to have the classrooms filled with smiles, giggles, thinking and learning! We can't wait to see our lions tomorrow!!

We cannot say enough, how much we care about the students in our building. Each day we work to teach them while building relationships and creating lifelong memories. So now, while we enjoy some time at home in our pajamas, sleeping in and having extra family-time, we hope you will do the same. But on January 3rd, 2024, we will be ready to see their smiles (and ocasional eye-rolls) again. From all of us at Longfellow Elementary, we wish you a blessed, safe, and happy holiday season!
Lots of fun was had in the library this week!
We had our snowman competition which resulted in a library FULL of snowmen.
Our lions also received sweet bears donated by Casa. Thank you!
