Today was a shock to the system. It's COLD! Please send a WINTER coat with your child. If you do not have one, the Caring Closet is available as is The Salvation Army and Goodwill. If you are unable to provide a coat, please reach out to your child's teacher or the office.

Hello parents of current LO children –
If you have been following the Longfellow Facebook page, or have seen the Daily Republic article on our very own Damon Bartscher, then you know tomorrow will be an exciting yet bittersweet day for Longfellow Elementary families. If you are able, we will have an outdoor celebration for current and all former LO families to attend, or anyone that has been lucky enough to have crossed paths with Damon Bartscher. The event will begin at 2:45 pm, out front and around the perimeter of the school. We realize people are working, etc., so this will be a brief event so many can attend. Let’s help fill our block with friends of Damon Bartscher, to show him as much love as he has shown for LO over the past four decades.
Parents that attend are welcome to find your child/ren’s teacher after the event and take your child/ren with you at that time. If your child attends that after school program, the kids will head back inside with their directors as normal.
We hope you all can attend and help make this event special for Damon as he nears his retirement day!
