Indian Education Informative Meeting
What: Public hearing regarding the Title VI Formula Grant (Indian, Native Hawaiian, and Alaskan Native Education statute)
Where: Mitchell Middle School library
When: Wednesday, April 19th @ 5:30 PM
Why: Creation of the Mitchell Indian Parent Committee and to discuss objectives of Title VI grant project.
Who: Parents and family members of Native America/Hawaiian students or Alaskan Native students in the Mitchell School District.

Mitchell Middle School Conferences will be held Thursday, February 2nd from 3:45pm - 9:00pm.
Attention all 5th and 6th grade boys and girls…Are you interested in playing basketball for the Kernels? Join Kernel Klub in the month of December and January. Practices will be held after school three days a week from 3:45 to 5:00pm in December and games will be played in January. This is a FREE opportunity for all boys and girls in 5th and 6th grade. The district report card is available for pickup at the Mitchell Middle School offices, it is located on the district website (https://www.mitchell.k12.sd.us/documents), and will be available at conferences in February here in the building as well. If you would like a copy mailed to your residence, please contact the school office and we can arrange that as well.
Clean out those closets! Please bring any gently used, new, or no longer needed coats of any size, youth and adult to the Mitchell Middle School for donation. There is a bin provided by Nedved Media (KORN/KQRN Radio) in the west main entrance of the middle school for drop off of the items. Donations are accepted through the month of October. Thank you!
Mitchell Middle School conferences will be on Thursday, October 6th from 3:45 - 9:00. Please plan on attending with your student.
Middle School Open House is, Thursday, August 11th from 5:30-7:00pm. We hope you can make it.
There will be a brief meeting after the first day of school (8/17) for any 7th or 8th-grade student interested in playing football. We will meet in the Middle School's main gym at 3:20. Practice will begin on the second day of school.
