Making Easter bags (Earlier this week) *LBW Media Interns

Congratulations to these LBW 5th graders who participated in Festival Band last week! Over 240 5th graders from 18 area Schools got together to put on a festival concert.

Today the high school show choir Friend De Coup came to perform for us! 31 of these students are former LBW leaders!!

Congratulations to these students who participated in the first ever Kernel Klub Volleyball!! What a fun season!

Due to impending winter weather, the following schools will dismiss at 1:00PM: Mitchell K-12 John Paul II Elementary School

Last week Central Electric came and gave a fabulous presentation to our 4th and 5th graders about electricity!

Today is the LBW fifth grade concert! Students meet at the Performing Arts Center at 6 PM and doors open to the public at 6:40. Concert starts at 7 PM.

Today we had a special performance by the Flying Pans Steel Drum Band! They are putting on a free concert tonight at the DWU Sherman Center, 7pm. Open to the public! After the concert students will have the opportunity to come up and play the steel drums.

Go Kernels! We had a great time yesterday sending the Lady kernels off as they compete this weekend at the state tournament!! Good luck!!

During this week the student work to earn Red Hat Cards for chances to win REALLY cool prizes! Being a good friend, helping others, getting work done, spreading positive energy were some of the ways the students could earn the Red Hat Cards. Way to go winners!!!!
