This Week

Angele Kennecke "The Broadcast that Broke my Heart"
This presentation shares the true story of Emily, a young woman who died after unknowingly taking fentanyl, to help students understand the real dangers in today’s drug supply. It empowers youth with knowledge and prevention strategies to make safe, informed choices and avoid substance use.

Miss Brunsing and her first graders teamed up with Literacy Coach Mrs. Hargreaves for an engaging, hands-on lesson! Using hula hoops to create life-sized Venn diagrams, students worked together to compare and contrast geysers and volcanoes by sorting fact cards into the correct sections.
They then strengthened their writing skills by using the conjunction “but” to connect their ideas. Science and literacy in action!
