The LBW library would like to thank Modern Woodman Insurance for the Hometown Hero donation to our library. We were able to add to our Who is/What was books, purchase a brand-new book in the One and Only Ivan Series and replace a well-worn book in our Guinness World Record Books.
The students will be very excited to read them next school year.

We are down to our final five days of school for the year!
Congratulations to these 6 students who were selected to participate in the South Dakota Elementary Honor Choir! The choir will take place this October in Rapid City. Over 530+ singers auditioned and a choir of the top 130 students were selected.
Ron’s bike shop and the Palace City Pedalers donated three bicycles and helmets to some lucky LBW students.
Palace City Pedalers Bike Club is a vibrant biking community-based in the Mitchell, South Dakota area, established to help more people discover a love of biking and the great outdoors.
This summer the Mitchell Music Department is offering numerous free camp opportunities for students! Here are fliers for 5 camps being offered!
Kindergarten hatched chrysalis into butterflies and released them this week!
This week music and PE are teaming up! Cardio drumming using stability balls, along with stability, ball yoga!!
Kindergarten got to hear the tale of Goldilocks and the three Bears in real life told by their teachers!

After reading the book Holes, LBW fifth graders sold peach Splooshes to all of the students and staff and raised $1193 to donate to Mitchell Heart and Sole!!
Congratulations LBW Scholarship winner Keatyn Wede! She will be recognized for her award Tuesday night at the 5th grade recognition ceremony at 6:30 PM at the PAC.
