🚍 Kernel Community Update: School Bus Safety Campaign 🖤💛
You may notice more law enforcement officers near our school buses and around town this month. The Highway Patrol is launching a routine, statewide safety campaign to encourage safe driving habits across South Dakota!
Officers may occasionally ride along on bus routes as part of this standard effort—nothing is wrong, and there is no cause for concern!
Thank you to our law enforcement partners for helping keep our Kernels safe on their way to and from school. Please remember to stay alert for stopped buses and red flashing lights! 🟨🖤
Please share to help spread the word!

Pancakes & Parents Party
The second grade classrooms recently celebrated the end of their CKLA reading unit with a Pancakes & Parents Party! Throughout this unit, students explored the exciting worlds of Tall Tales and Fairy Tales, including the larger-than-life story of Paul Bunyan and his famous giant flapjacks.
To celebrate all of their hard work and learning, students invited their parents and families to join us for an afternoon filled with flapjacks, smiles, and quality parent engagement. It was such a fun way to bring our learning to life. A huge shoutout to the MSD Kids grant and all of our volunteers for making this happen!
