Picture retakes are TOMORROW OCT. 16th. If you received pictures but are not happy with them, please bring the pictures back on the 16th and a new picture will be taken. You will receive the same packet as you originally ordered. If your child's photo was not taken on the original day, it will be taken on the 16th, even if you do not order pictures. It might be nice outside for now but it will get cold before you know it. Please remember that we do not have a storage of coats available for students to borrow on cold days. They will go outside as long as the windchill is above 0. Please make sure your child has a coat to wear (more than a hoodie).

Tuesday, Oct 1st, Walk or Ride to School and Celebrate with the South Dakota DOT who will be at Longfellow to hand out bracelets to those who walked or rode bikes! Get some exercise, save gas, reduce traffic congestion and enjoy the outdoors! Please watch for traffic and obey all traffic laws!

Have you been anxiously waiting to see your little one's adorable school picture? It feels like forever ago but it has only been 3 weeks. Can you believe it? We are so into the normalcy of the school year already! We expect school pictures to arrive next week and will send them home with students.
We look forward to seeing you all at the Decade Disco TONIGHT from 5:30-7:00 pm. The cost is $10 per family. Pizza, snacks and beverages are available for purchase. All funds go to our amazing PTO who helps cover things like bussing for field trips, playground equipment and many fun events for our Lions.

Sept 30-Oct 4th is Homecoming week at MHS. Longfellow will have some fun dress-up days to celebrate. Remember, no face or hair paint. Also, we still go outside for recess and participate in PE. Onesie PJs are fine but please have clothes on underneath in case it's hot. Students will need to wear shoes, even on PJ day. Let's go Kernels!
